Yerba Mate is a tea-like beverage made from the leaves of the Yerba Mate tree that is grown in the subtropical rain forest of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. This tree is a member of the Holly family. The flavor of brewed yerba mate is strongly vegetal, herbal, and grassy, reminiscent of some varieties of green tea. It blends quite well with other herbs and spices. Introduced to the world by the Guarani Indians, Mate contains ingredients that keeps you healthy and energetic.
